  • One research showcase based on your research.

  • Support to produce one publication based on research conducted during your research stay.

  • Support to complete an application for membership or affiliate membership of the Multispecies Collective at the end of your visit.

If this opportunity is of interest to you:

  • Please read about Birmingham Law School’s visiting scholar programme here to determine your eligibility.

  • Contact us using the contact form below, providing your completed application form and supporting documents (available at the link above) to inform an initial discussion with us before submitting an application.

Postdoctoral
Opportunities

We are open to supporting postdoctoral funding applications for projects to be undertaken at our host institution under the mentorship of an academic at our host institution.

If this opportunity is of interest to you:

  • Please familiarise yourself with the research environment at the University of Birmingham’s College of Arts & Law to consider whether this would satisfy your requirements and preferences for a host institution.

  • If there is not currently capacity to support your proposal, we will happily offer guidance where we can, and indicate other ways you can get involved with the Multispecies Collective.

  • Contact us using the contact form below with a CV, research proposal, and details of a funding scheme you wish to apply to for which you are eligible. If you are not aware of current funding opportunities, you are welcome to contact us with your CV and research proposal as we may be able to inform you of funding competitions that open.

PhD
Programme

We have welcomed a host of PhD researchers to the Multispecies Collective with funding from various channels. We are open to receiving PhD proposals for projects to be undertaken at our host institution under the supervision of a member of the Multispecies Collective or other academic based at the host institution.

If this opportunity is of interest to you:

  • Please read about the University of Birmingham’s PhD programme here to determine your eligibility.

  • If there is capacity, we may contact you to offer substantive feedback and guidance to prepare an application. If there is not currently capacity to support your proposal, we will happily offer guidance where we can, and indicate other ways you can get involved with the Multispecies Collective.

  • Contact us using the contact form below, providing a CV, PhD proposal, and details of a funding scheme you wish to apply to for which you are eligible or confirmation that you wish to pursue your PhD as a self-funded student.
